I feel sexuality is part of art, including comics, so yes I'm for it. You also include some subtopics like romance in storytelling, and I'm for that as well, though it all depends on the individual title. And needless to say homosexuality is part of that of course.
I will say, since this happens to be in the DC comics forum, it seems to me some vocal DC fans have the most overreaction and negativity towards sexuality I've seen in the comics scene. That so many found anything offensive or objectionable about the PG-13 sex scene of Batman and Catwoman in Catwoman #1 for example really befuddles me. What also bugs me, from a writing standpoint, is that they haven't touched much on their relationship since. I guess they can only have sex once every decade or two?
To me I love some slice-of-life quality somewhere in the mix of superhero storytelling, something say Invincible or Savage Dragon do beautifully. So having sex as part of that makes sense. Not sure why for example the Batgirl title completely lacks any of that, though I'm a bit behind on that. Really, I think many DC titles could use more sexuality.
As for revealing outfits etc, I do think the war against those is very much overblown as well. While it's personal taste and people have a right not to like revealing outfits, that they always seem to call people who do like them sexist or pervs or something is problematic. Personally I think since it's okay to show cleavage and legs in real life for example, there's no reason why it shouldn't be shown in comics. Plus if anything, comics should be able to be stylized and not 100% realistic in every way.
As for cheesecake (the T&A shots mentioned), those have their place as well. Comics don't always need to be highbrow, and if a violent slugfest for thrills is okay, there's nothing about natural human sexuality that is somehow not okay in comparison. Some think it's only okay to include for a classy reason dictated by the story, but not all books are going for that vibe. It's still okay to have fun in art.
Long story short, yes sex.
